Symptom

  • Authentication to SAP Work Zone Standard Edition, with SAP Cloud Identity Services (IAS) either as the identity provider or proxy, results in the following error message:
    • HTTP ERROR 431

  • In the browser's Developer Tools (Fn > F12) > Network, the following error can be seen:
    • Status Code: 431 Request Header Fields Too Large

  • In the browser's Developer Tools (Fn > F12) > Console, the following error can be seen:
    • Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 431 ()
