3602800 - Error Occurred While Importing Content Due to Virus Scan Service Status 400

Symptom

  • An error occurs when importing a file using the Import Data tool: "Error occurred while trying to scan the file xxxxxx.zip for virus. The status returned by virus scan service was 400."

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login and go to Learning Administration
  2. Go to Content>Import Content>Add new content
  3. Select a file and proceed
  4. The import failed with error

Cause

  • The nested zip file is password protected or the file is corrupted.
  • The nested zip files smaller than 10MB will go through anti-virus scan, and if no viruses are found, then they can be uploaded. (The larger nested zip files are not allowed and will not be processed.)
  • Password protected files can not pass the anti-virus scan.

Resolution

  • This is working as expected. Please contact content provider to fix the file or remove password protection.
  • Note: Modifying file contents can cause issues if certain file structures are required such as for AICC/SCORM courses. It is outside of the SAP Support scope to assist with altering 3rd party files. Please work with your vendor for assistance.
