3602871 - The currency of the preliminary billing document can be modified only within the professional service scenario

Symptom

When the preliminary billing document is created from the billing document request uploaded via Excel, changing the currency is not supported.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Cause

Check the values in the database table：

for the BDR uploaded via Excel, VBRP-VGTYP (Prec.Doc.Categ.) = ‘2’ (External Transaction).
for the BDR is created from professional service, VBRP-VGTYP = ‘PBRQ’ (Project Billing Request).

Resolution

This is the standard system behavior. The currency of the preliminary billing document can be modified only within the professional service scenario.
