3603119 - Outbound delivery cannot distribute to EWM - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

When attempting to distribute an outbound delivery to EWM (via VL02N, VL06O, or related apps), the following errors may appear:

  • Goods issue from delivery not possible due to block - Message no. V1184
  • Picking from delivery not possible due to block - Message no. V1185

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Cause

These errors occur because the "Delivery Block" field is populated at the header level of the outbound delivery.
As a result, the system prevents further processing or distribution to EWM.

Resolution

Immediate Fix (for a single delivery):

  1. Open the outbound delivery in VL02N (change mode).

  2. Navigate to the "Administration" tab.

  3. In the "Delivery Block" field, clear any value (e.g., change from "Check Shipping Data" to blank).

  4. Save the delivery.

  5. Retry the distribution operation.

This will allow the delivery to be distributed successfully to EWM.

Long-Term Fix (prevent future issues):

  1. Go to SSCUI 102213 – Assign Blocking Reasons to Delivery Types.

  2. Find the relevant delivery type (e.g., LR2).

  3. Locate the associated blocking reason (e.g., Z1, “Check Shipping Data”).

  4. Ensure the "Pick.Block"&"GI Block" checkbox is NOT selected for that reason.

  5. Save the SSCUI changes.

This prevents deliveries of this type from being blocked during creation, ensuring smoother downstream processing.
