3603419 - How to avoid ASSERTION_FAILED dump by popping up an error message when incorrectly creating detailed batch in /SCWM/PRDI

Symptom

An user would like to create a detailed batch for a delivery item in /SCWM/PRDI, but the user inputs an inappropriate batch(for example, input a normal batch for a product that is managed to have only a single digit condition code). When saving the inbound delivery system generates a dump:

Category               ABAP programming error
Runtime Errors         ASSERTION_FAILED
ABAP: Program          /SCDL/CL_BO_MANAGEMENT========CP
Application Component  SCM-EWM-DLP
In the dump, error message /SCWM/BATCH 051 is contained

The user would like to have an error message getting raised directly, rather than having a dump. Therefore the user will be able to correct the incorrect batch at the first time, without starting the whole transaction again which will consume a lot of time.
