3603564 - System Incorrect Displaying Fixed Lot Size Quantity in Material Planning Data Source

• The Material Planning Data Source displays a Fixed Lot Size Quantity for a particular Product in a specific Planning Area.
• This value contradicts the Quantity in the current product configuration which is set to Target Stock Quantity.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Navigate to the Business Analytics work center.
2. Go to the Design Data Sources view.
3. Find and select the Data Source: Material Planning.
4. Click Preview.
5. Enter the relevant Product ID and Planning Area ID.
6. Execute.
7. It can be observed that the system is Fixed Lot Size Quantity which differs from the value maintained in the current Lot Sizing method.

The discrepancy in the Fixed Lot Size Quantity is due to previous changes in configuration. On previous occasion, the Lot Sizing Method was updated to 2-Fixed lot size with a Fixed Lot Size Quantity as displayed in the column of same name in the Data Source. However, Lot Sizing method was later changed to 4-Target stock level with the specific Target Stock Quantity.

1. Understand that the Fixed Lot Size Quantity in the Material Planning Data Source reflects the previous configuration setting of 2-Fixed lot size with the displayed Fixed Lot Size Quantity.
2. Be aware that the Lot-Sizing Methods: Target stock level and Fixed lot size are not the same.
