Symptom
- An error message "Valid from date 01.01.1798 for this rate not in realistic range (<1979)" is encountered when attempting to replicate exchange rate master data from S/4HANA Public Cloud to Ariba Central Invoice Management.
- The error occurs in the Replicate by Replication Model app.
- As a result of this error, no results are shown on the CIM.
- MDIF 020 error received when replicating exchange rate in monitor replication app. Error - Valid from date Valid from date 01.01.1798 for this rate not in re for this rate not in realistic range (<1979).

Reproducing the Issue
- Replicate the exchange rate data using the App Replicate by Replication Model.
- Monitor the replication status.
Cause
In the App Currency Exchange Rates. The valid from date for the currency pairs has unrealistic settings. A valid from date of 01/01/1798 is 2 or 3 centuries older, which is not realistic.
Resolution
- Navigate to the App Currency Exchange Rates.
- Identify the exchange rates with the unrealistic "Valid from" date of 01/01/1798.
- Remove these exchange rates.
- Maintain a more recent Valid from date for the currency pairs.
