3604429 - Master Template Logo Not Displayed on Custom Form

Symptom

Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.

The logo has been added to the master template, but it is not appearing on the respective document that uses the custom template.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Access the relevant view.
  2. Select the appropriate document.
  3. Click the Edit button.
  4. Choose the Preview option.
  5. At this stage, the logo will not appear in the preview.

Cause

This issue can occur if the logo reference is missing in the Hierarchy section on the left side of the page in the LiveCycle Designer. The pic_A1SFC_HeaderLogo element must be present for the logo to display correctly.

The missing reference is likely preventing the logo from appearing. It’s important to note that the master template is generated dynamically during the document preview process. For the logo to render correctly, the necessary bindings and definitions must align with the standard configuration, allowing the server to properly identify and apply the master template.

Resolution

We recommend reviewing the logo configuration in your form with your implementation partner and evaluating the feasibility of applying this correction to your custom template.
