3604874 - 'Send Reminder' feature is not working in Team View

When the manager uses the 'Send Reminder' feature from Team View, the expected notification emails are not being received by the users/subordinates.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning 

1. Access SuccessFactors BIZX as a Manager.
2. Navigate to Learning
3. Select 'Team View'
4. Select the subordinate-> Click 'Send Reminder' button
5. The subordinates do not receive the reminder email.

The issue has been resolved with the 1H 2025 release.

If users do not receive a reminder email, the following configurations and permissions need to be checked:

1. The settings "Enable email" and "Use Application Notification User Email for manager email notifications" must be enabled at Learning Administration-> System Administration ->Configuration -> Global Application Settings ->Mail. 
2. Validate the notification template "IlxTrainingOverdue".
3. Validate the Email address configured in the global application email settings :

• If emails are being send from the SuccessFactors email addresses or a SuccessFactors email address is being used in global application email settings, there is no need to add SPF records to the SMTP domain.
• If emails are being send from a 3rd party email address or one is configured in the global application email settings, you need to work with your IT Team to request the addition of SPF records to the 3rd party's SMTP domain. For more information, please review the attached KBA - 2087468 .

To send overdue training reminders from the Team View page you need the following permissions :

• Manager Reminders permission: This permission controls the visibility of the "Send reminder" feature in Team View.

The following permissions are also used:

• Access Team's Learning: This permission controls visibility of training activities of the subordinate to the user.

• Manage Assignments: This permission manages bulk assignments under the Team View overflow menu Manage Assignments

Q1: Are there any limits to how many times a manager can use the 'Send Reminder' feature to send notifications?

• Currently, there is no limit, but it's important that managers avoid spamming employees.

Q2:  Is it possible to hide 'Send Reminder' feature from Team View ?

• Yes, this can be done by removing the "Manager Reminders permission" from the assigned role.

Q3: Can we view all team hierarchies on the Team View page and send a reminder?

• Yes, the Team View hierarchies are controlled by the property 'reportingLevelsToDisplay' in LMS_ADMIN. Once all direct and indirect subordinates are displayed, you can send a reminder by selecting the subordinate. Help document - LINK

• Yes.
