3605086 - Increasing Character Limit for Custom Fields in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• Two custom fields, namely 'Port of Discharge' and 'Final Destination', contain more than 300 entries.
• Full data is not being displayed in the sales order screen due to the default value of 200 for the "Maximum No. of Hits" within the settings of the value help of the custom fields.
• A need to increase the character limit (key) from 200 to 500 to reflect the complete information properly.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Add more than 300 entries in the custom fields 'Port of Discharge' and 'Final Destination'.
2. Observe that the full data is not being displayed in the sales order screen.
3. Attempt to increase the character limit (key) from 200 to 500.

1. Log onto the SAP System.
2. Navigate to "Menu -> Help -> Settings".
3. In the popup screen, switch to the "F4 Help" section.
4. Input 500 into the field "Maximum Number of Hits Displayed".
5. Click "Apply".
6. Re-open the "Change Sales Orders - VA02" app and retry.
