3605273 - Embedding fonts in ADS system not displaying in PDF

Symptom

  • The issue arises when attempting to embed a specific font in the ADS system. The fonts have been added to the ADS on-premise system correctly as per the steps described in KBA 2863090 - How to add fonts to ADS on-premise system

  • It was needed to embed the fonts in the PDF for any requirement. The KBA 1815722 has been followed; however, the font remains not embedded.

    In a detailed font trace (See how to create font traces in SAP Note 1717189 - ADS Font Trace), there is a similar error entry:

    $$$/com/adobe/document/XMLForm/msg.XFA=[1234567] Adding font FONTNAME in encoding ISO-8859-1.#
      Line 78956: $$$/com/adobe/document/XMLForm/msg.XFA=[1234567] Font license for FONTNAME does not permit embedding.  Font will be referenced.#
