Symptom

IMPORTANT NOTICE: 
Option 1 and 2 in KBA 3593336 - Unfamiliar files found in SAP NetWeaver Java file system are now Deprecated, for which both Options should NOT be used any more !

  • Either applied workaround Option 1 or 2 in KBA 3593336 - Unfamiliar files found in SAP NetWeaver Java file system
  • Now when trying to patch VCFRAMEWORK component or completely upgrade entire Support Package Stack according to Note 3594142 - [CVE-2025-31324] Missing Authorization check in SAP NetWeaver (Visual Composer development server) for your Java system in order to mitigate vulnerability permanently, SUM process is stuck due to the following error message:
    Detailed message: 1. Cannot [update] application [<APPLICATION>].
                     -> Container [developmentserver] was not started.
     The reason is: The service that provides this container is DISABLED
