3605992 - The Default Document Type is Always Determine Irrespective of Code List Restriction in the Sales Quote

While creating a New Sales Quote, the Document Type is not restricted based on code list restriction assign to the Business User's Role.

1. Login with User USR1 (where USR1 represent the business username).
2. Go to the User Menu and click on the Settings.
3. Navigate to the All Settings tab and search with Code List Restrictions.
4. Search with the Business Entity as a Sales Quotes.
5. Click on + button and create code list restriction CLR (where CLR represent code list restriction name) for business entity as sales quotes.
6. Select Code to Restrict as Document Type Code and check the option Validation Relevant.
7. Under the Allowed Value for code COD1 (where COD1 represent one of the sales quote document type) restrict it to Role ROL1 (where ROL1 represent the Business role assign to user USR1) and save it.
8. Go to the Settings again and search with Sales Quotes.
9. Open the Document Types for the sales quotes.
10. Here, you can see the document type COD1 which is restricted within the CLR is set as Default here.
11. Go to the Navigation Menu with the same logon user USR1.
12. Search with entity Sales Quote and click on the + button to create New Sales Quote.
13. You will see the document type COD1 is defaulted in new quote screen, even though COD1 is restricted for user USR1.

Based on Document Type settings for the sales quote, by default COD1 will get determine in new Quote creation screen. However, further based on Code List restriction validation user USR1 will not be allowed to create the quote with COD1 as document type.

This is the design system behavior.
