3606085 - Screen Reader Announces Combo Box and Combo Box Options Multiple Times in Talent Search

Symptom

When using a screen reader in Talent Search and navigating to a field with multiple options, the field and options in the combo box are each announced twice. An example is below when using the Bench Strength field:

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log into the system using a screen reader
  2. In the module picker, select Succession
  3. Select the Talent Search tab
  4. Select More options...
  5. In any section, navigate to a field which has multiple options available
  6. Selecting the dropdown field announces details twice, and each item in the dropdown list is announced twice

Cause

This is a known issue.

Resolution

The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed in the 1H 2026 release.
