3606168 - The price components are not copied to the Sales Order

Symptom

Manual header discounts fail to copy only in the scenario where a Sales Quote is created in C4C, followed by Sales Order creation in ECC and replication back to C4C. In this case, only item-level discounts are retained when the Sales Order is copied in C4C. In all other scenarios - such as standalone Sales Orders created in ECC or fully managed within C4C - both header and item discounts are copied correctly.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Sales > Sales Orders.
  2. Open the desired Order.
  3. Go to Products tab.
  4. See the custom items and are there for Product Pricing and Total Pricing.
  5. Now click on Actions > Copy.
  6. See in the new copied Order there is no Total Pricing, only the Product Pricing.

Cause

The discounts are originated from the items, and this will not be copied to subsequent copied documents. Only if the discount is added manually at the header level in C4C, then only it will be copied.

Resolution

This is the expected behavior of the system.

See Also

The recommend action in such a scenario is to, instead, copy the original Sales Quote (which should copy the header manual conditions) and then create a follow-up Sales Order for the new quote.
