3606219 - Understanding and Managing Extended EH Permissions in Latest Goal Management

Symptom

This article explains the functionality and behavior of Extended EH permissions in Latest Goal Management.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Goal Management

Resolution

Extended EH permission does not create new roles but are assigned through RBP permissions. Users with “Extended EH for Performance Goals” RBP permissions are not required to be EH, but in the Goal Plan XML, the permissions for Extended EH are established through EH role.

If permission configuration for EH role exists in the goal plan of the latest Goal Management, the user group with this RBP permission will have the same permissions as the EH role over users who are in their target population.

For example,
User A is not User B's EH.
All fields in the goal plan XML are granted read permission for EH.
Without the Extended EH permission, User A will not be able to access User B’s goals.
However, if you grant User A the Extended EH permission here and include User B in the target population, User A will have the same permissions as EH and therefore can access User B’s goals.
