3606535 - Error: "In cust_xxxx, group-X.en_US is not the field or association name." in Manage Data - 1H 2025

Error: "In cust_xxxx, group-X.en_US is not the field or association name." when editing a String type field for an existing record in Manage Data for a custom MDF object post 1H 2025 release. 

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Core

1. Login to system with provided access. 
2. Go to Manage Data. 
3. Select the problematic custom object. 
4. Select an existing record. 
5. Select Make Correction on the record. 
6. Edit any String value type field and make a small change such as adding a letter. 
7. Click outside of the box. 
8. See the error occur and the changes cannot be saved. 

Individual fields are defined in a separate group with a 'Grid Layout' within the UI and the system is interpreting it in a different manner.

Workaround:

Change the layout of the associated UI in Manage Configuration UI to 'Flow Layout' instead of 'Grid Layout'
