3606779 - Error AA698 in AR29N when creating valuation areas – ANLB not equal to ANLC

Symptom

  • Error message AA698 - SYST: Abnormal termination (ANLB not equal to ANLC) - is raised in transaction AR29N (Revaluation and New Valuation of Assets)
  • Attempting to perform an asset revaluation using AR29N for a company code, the process fails with the error AA698. It is preventing the creation of new depreciation areas for existing assets
