3607916 - DPAgent Service does not start due to port permission issues - SAP HANA Smart Data Integration

Symptom

  • Upon trying to start the DPAgent service through the DP Agent Configuration Tool, the Service fails to start.
  • Error message observed in the CLI tool:
    • "Cannot connect to agent. Trying again after 3 seconds"
  • DP Agent status in the CLI tool:
    • "Agent is not running. Start the agent and try again."
  • Framework traces contain errors as below:
    • "failed to initialize admin socket: Permission denied"
    • "java.net.BindException: Permission denied"
