Symptom

Search Bar Component is displayed in browser default format, no matter what type of layout you select.

Cause

The incorrect property value set for 'bootstrapV3' in siteSettings.xml can lead to styling and display issues.

Resolution

  1. Navigate to Career Site Builder > Tools > Import & Export > Export
  2. Export the Site Settings.
  3. Open the resulting XML file and locate the property 'bootstrapV3'.
  4. Ensure the property value is set to '1' as below:

    <propertyname><![CDATA[bootstrapV3]]></propertyname>
    <propertyvalue><![CDATA[1]]></propertyvalue>

  5. Save the file
  6. Navigate back to Career Site Builder > Tools > Import & Export > Import
  7. Import the Site Settings with the corrected values.
