Symptom
- "Missing Credentials" error message occurs when a Single Sign-On (SSO) user attempts to log in after the Identity Authentication Service (IAS) has been activated for a test system.
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
Reproducing the Issue
- Activate IAS for the system.
- Attempt to log in as an SSO user.
- Error in above image occurs.
Cause
The issue arises because the third-party Identity Provider (IDP) is disabled in Provisioning, but it is still set as the Default Issuer. Consequently, the system redirects the information to the third-party IDP, causing the error.
Resolution
Request the implementation team or the support team to set the Default Issuer to IAS.
If there is no implementation team, open a ticket with the support team and provide the following information:
- Company ID
- Support access
