Symptom
When candidates are initiated from recruiting, both rehire checks are getting skipped on the onboarding side if first name and last name parameter in hire/rehire configuration is disabled and no data of birth and national id is being passed or updated in New Hire Data Review
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding
Reproducing the Issue
- The parameter Enable Search for Employees Using First Name and Last Name in the hire/rehire configuration is set as No, other parameters are set as Yes
- Only new hire data review step is configured as a part of the onboarding process
- Candidate is initiated from recruiting with no date of birth and national id being passed
- Once the candidate lands into onboarding dashboard no rehire verification checks (first and second both) are triggered even after the new hire data review step is completed
Cause
This is expected behavior. This is because the first name and last name parameter is disabled and no date of birth and national id is passed from recruiting or filled in New Hire Data Review.
Resolution
- To ensure that first rehire verification is being triggered with limited data, it would be necessary to enable the parameter search employees using first name and last name in hire/rehire configuration.
- And in order to trigger the second rehire check, it is required to pass date of birth and national id from recruiting and ensure the related parameters are enabled.
