3608718 - How to Show or Hide Matrix Manager Information on Employee Cards

• If a manager has matrix reports, the number will appear next to their direct reports and team size.

  For example: 4 · 13 / 2 Matrix means the manager has:

  • 4 direct reports
  • 13 total reports (team size)
  • 2 matrix reports

• If an employee reports to more matrix managers beyond the one shown in the current view, a count will appear on their Org Chart card.

  For example: +1 Matrix Managers means the employee has one additional matrix managers not currently visible.

  This number does not include the direct manager, as each employee has only one. By default, this information is visible on employee cards, but you can choose to hide it for all users by enabling the "Hide matrix manager information in Org Chart cards" toggle. 

Procedure:

1. Go to Admin Center > Company Settings > Org Chart Configuration.
2. Select the Hide matrix manager information in Org Chart cards option under the Company Org Chart tab.
3. Save your changes.

Note: To view the "+1 Matrix Manager" you need to open the profile preview by clicking on the icon "Show Employee Details" . The preview will show the list of manager for the employee or provide a link to the additional manager, for example "+2 Managers" if there is more than 2 managers (direct + matrix) to list

Note: In Screenshot #2, you’ll notice that the manager’s matrix reports are still visible. This is the expected behavior, as the "Hide matrix manager information in Org Chart cards" toggle only hides the Matrix Manager information (e.g. +1 Matrix Manager) on employee cards and it does not hide the manager’s matrix reports.
