3609098 - Workflow For Employment Details not working - Employee Central

• A configured workflow to change a date field in Employment Details for direct reports is no working.
• The workflow has Dynamic Role as approver
• Dynamic Role - Approver Type is set as Person.
• Workflow is missing from Manage Workflow Requests

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. Proxy as a manager using a system admin account.
2. Change the field in Employment Details for direct reports.
3. Observe that the workflow is not triggered, but the rule trace shows it as triggered.

Cause 1: Dynamic Role - Approver Type = Person is not supported for Employment Details workflow.

OR

Cause 2: Latest People Profile is enabled and workflow will not trigger via pencil for Employment Details in Latest People Profile as per system design. 

Resolution to Cause 1:  Use Approver Type = Position instead.

Resolution to Cause 2: Make changes to Employment Details via Take Action.
