3609264 - 'Start Course' button is missing in Item Detail Page when accessing from 'Learning History'

Symptom

When users navigate to item's detail page from 'Learning History', some courses can be started while others cannot be started as the 'Start Course' button is not displayed.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to 'My Learning' home page > 'Learning History'
  2. Click an item title > directed to the item's detail page in library
  3. Noted this course CANNOT be started
  4. However, go back to 'Learning History' > click another item title
  5. Noted this course CAN be started

Cause

Users are not able to take/start any course from the library directly if users do not have the library permission where the items belong to.

However, if the item is still in the user's learning plan, users are able to start the course no matter the users have the permission to access to the library or not.

Resolution

Admins can grant the library permission to the user so the user can take courses from the library.

OR

Admins can assign the specific items to the user directly if the user shouldn't have the library access.
