3609880 - Instructor Led Item remains on User's Learning Plan after completion in Learning

Symptom

  • An Instructor Led Item remains on the learning plan even after completion.
  • The item is visible in Learning History but also remains on the Learning Plan even after the class is completed.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Register a User for class.
  2. Navigate to the class --> Actions --> Add to Learning.
  3. Observe that the item is in both Learning History and Learning Plan.

Cause

The item isn't moved to learning history because its assigned date is in the past compared to the date of completion. This can happen if the class agenda was changed after the items were registered into the class.

Resolution

The system behaves this way because, for a user registered in a class with a start date in the past, the assigned date aligns with the class start date. When the class is added to learning history, the completion date aligns with the class end date.

To move an item to learning history from the learning plan, it is necessary that the item completion date for the item is greater than item assignment date.

If the item assignment date is greater than the learning history date then the item will not be removed from users' learning plan.

To prevent this issue in the future, ensure the item completion date is greater than the item assignment date.
