3610361 - Proficiency Level Scale for Attribute search in Talent Search

Symptom

In Manage Talent Intelligence Hub tool, it is possible to configure different Proficiency Level Scales for each Attribute Type (i.e. Skills, Competencies). However, in Talent Search, when using the Rating & Attributes Section and selecting Attributes criteria, only one Proficiency Level Scale can be configured for attribute search in Talent Search Settings tool.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Succession Management
  • SAP SuccessFactors Talent Intelligence Hub

Resolution

Although, it is possible to configure different Proficiency Level Scales for each attribute type in Talent Intelligence Hub, Talent Search supports only one Proficiency Level Scale when searching by attributes.

Considering it can be used different rating scales in Talent Intelligence Hub, Talent Search uses normalization to unify ratings across attributes.

This system behavior is not exclusive of instances using Talent Intelligence Hub, and is consistent in all environments despite of attribute/capability framework in use, as it also normalizes attributes rated in Performance Management forms that can be using different scales. Talent Search maintains its existing normalization approach for handling different Proficiency Level Scales, ensuring that search results remain consistent even after upgrading to Talent Intelligence Hub.
