Symptom
- The .xlsx export and the xml download is not functioning due to large data quantity in the C4C report.
- The associated error message to this issue is "This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below."
Environment
SAP Cloud for Customer
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Business Analytics work center
- Design Reports view
- Search and open the desired report
- Run
- Attempt to download as .xml
- Open the .xml file in Edge
Cause
The reported scenario is happening because your system is configured to open XML files on browser. Modern browsers now display XML files as plain text unless a stylesheet is explicitly associated.
Resolution
- Download the report in "Excel in XML format".
- Open Excel.
- In Excel, go to File > Open > Browse.
- Find the file downloaded and open it.
- Additionally, set Excel as the standard program to open these types of files within Windows.
