Symptom
After the Production 2505 release, when a user opens a performance form, they may notice that several sections are missing. Only the Introduction section and the Employee sections are visible. The Objective sections and other relevant sections are not appearing.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Performance Management
Reproducing the Issue
The form reviewer will see an incomplete form section information when:
1. The form includes a goal that has CPM achievements linked.
2. The option "Enable Achievements tab in Performance Goal Section -> Display Achievement Feedback for Performance Goal Achievements" is enabled in the form template setting page.
3. The form reviewer does not have the "Access Continuous Feedback Data" permission granted in RBP.
Cause
An “Null Pointer Exception” error is thrown when attempting to fetch feedback items for a user who does not have the necessary permissions.
Resolution
The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed with the patch 2505p7 (3-Jun-2025). For patch timelines, please review SAP SuccessFactors Patches Knowledge Base.
After The fix, lack of CPM permission will no longer impact the visibility of sections on the form. In this scenario, only the CPM feedback will not be displayed on the form.
Workaround
1. Disable the option "Enable Achievements tab in Performance Goal Section -> Display Achievement Feedback for Performance Goal Achievements" on the form template setting page.
Or
2. Grant the "Access Continuous Feedback Data" permission to the form reviewer in RBP.
