Symptom
The work permit info portlet business rules works as expected in the desktop application, but in the mobile app the business rules does not trigger field visibility as per rule configuration.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
Reproducing the Issue
- Open the SuccessFactors mobile application on your mobile device.
- Try to navigate to any employee in the system.
- Then go to the work permit Portlet by keeping the rule trace log enabled.
- If you performed any data change where a business rule was configured for these actions are not triggered.
- For Example, like field visibility rules kept on OnView or OnChange are not working and set accordingly.
Resolution
- Our engineering team is planning to fix this issue and implement it in the future, either in the 2H 2025 or 1H 2026 release via enhancement ECT- 254871.
- Meanwhile, please we request that you follow the workaround provided as of now.
- In reference to its fix, please follow up on this product enhancement - "ECT-254871" with your CSM on this update to track the status.
