Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Learning
Reproducing the Issue
- Learning Administration > System Administration > Security >
- Role Management > Search and access the desired role >
- Permissions > Attempt to locate the role "Access Personalized Recommendations" >
- The permission isn't visible, despite enabling "Personalized Recommendations" from the Admin Center.
Cause
When searching for Learning roles, make sure to access Learning User roles. The "Personalized Recommendations" permission isn't part of the Learning Administrator roles.
Resolution
Always check the role type:
- For example, the "ALL" role. This is valid for Learning Administrators.
- This type of role won't contain the "Access Personalized Recommendations" permission.
- It's possible to use the "Role Type" filter and set it to "User". The results will return Learning User roles:
- For example, the "DEFAULT USER" role has the "Access Personalized Recommendations":
