From b2505, you can now configure workflows to approve the proficiency level changes for an attribute.

Also, below instruction messages are displayed to remind user that workflow may needed when updating attributes.

1. When checking growth portfolio in card view, notice the instruction message is displayed:
   Updates to some attributes may require an approval. To edit multiple attributes at the same time, switch to the List View. 
   
   
2. When checking growth portfolio in list view, notice the instruction message is displayed:
   Updates to some attributes may require an approval. You can update a maximum of 20 skills at once.
   
   

Note

The engineering team had temporarily removed the workflow message on June 3rd, 2025 for preview and June 5th, 2025 for production. This is because it appears in the growth portfolio even when the workflow is not configured, causing user confusion. The date for when it will be added back is not yet confirmed.

Now, the message in list view only shows "You can update a maximum of 20 skills at once." in English environment. 

But in other locales e.g. French, Chinese, Japanese, you may notice that the workflow related part of the message is not removed. For example, in Japanese environment, you still see "一部の属性を更新するには、承認が必要になる場合があります。一度に最大 20 件のスキルを更新できます。" , meaning "Updates to some attributes may require an approval. You can update a maximum of 20 skills at once. " The first half of the sentence still points to workflow.

The content translation of message in list view will be fixed in b2511 release. Before that, as a workaround, you can use the tool "manage language" to customize the translations.
