3612487 - How-to: Add diserver again after removing from topology

Symptom

  • You previously removed the diserver from the system topology. 
  • After referring to SAP Note 2416236 – 'diserver service not starting up', you followed the recommended steps. Now, you would like to re-add the diserver service to the topology. 
    • SELECT * FROM M_TOPOLOGY_TREE to find the exact path and port number of the diserver service.
    • Run a complete backup of the database before making any changes to the topology.
    • Run ALTER SYSTEM ALTER CONFIGURATION ('topology.ini', 'system') UNSET ('/host/<host name>/diserver', '<port_number>') WITH RECONFIGURE
