3612839 - Chart Display Issue - One of the Measures Not Displayed in Waterfall Chart

Symptom

  • Waterfall Chart not working as expected in the story after the SAC Q2 Patch
  • The issue is one of the measure is not displaying data in Chart after QRC Update.

Environment

  • SAP ANALYTICS CLOUD 2025.8.6

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log in to the tenant.
  2. Open the story containing the Waterfall chart, or create a new story and add a Waterfall chart.
  3. Add the measures to the chart.
  4. Observe that one of the measures is not displayed in the chart.

Cause

  • A consistency update for calculated and restricted accounts when using readmode = "booked" introduced a new default mode called operand-based (see SAP KB 3503228).
  • With this change, calculated and restricted accounts are only returned if at least one operand account has booked data for the same dimension combination.
  • This behavior applies even if operand accounts are filtered out.

Resolution

To restore or adjust the expected reporting behavior, use one of the following options:

  1. Include the member “Value” in the query.
  2. Switch readmode to master, applying additional filters on accounts if needed.
  3. Use a “RelatedBooked…” read mode, which can provide more complete results while still optimizing performance (refer to SAP KB 2815334).
