3612865 - Ignore FTE during Compa ratio and Range Penetration Calculatio setting Not Honored with Compensation Structure and Proration Setup

Symptom

Despite enabling the 'Ignore FTE during Compa Ratio and Range Penetration Calculation' setting in the Company System and Logo Settings, FTE values are still being included into the Compa Ratio and Range Penetration calculations.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to the instance.
  2. Ensure "FTE", "Compa Ratio" and "Range Penetration" are enabled under Manage Business Configuration.
  3. Ensure that the switch "Ignore FTE during Compa ratio and Range Penetration Calculation" is enabled under Company System and Logo Settings.
  4. Go to any user profile and observe the calculation for "Compa Ratio" and "Range Penetration".
  5. Observe that FTE is still considered in the calculation.

Cause

Compensation Structure and Proration Setup is configured in the instance. 

Resolution

  1. The system is working as designed.
  2. Compensation structure and proration setup overwrites the company-wide setting "Ignore FTE during Compa ratio and Range Penetration Calculation".
