How to set up Duplicate Check for Business Partner Master data ?

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Go to 'Manage Business Partner Master data' app
2. Create a Business partner with already existing details of the Business Partner

For Duplicate check for Business Partner Master data, Create a new configuration.

• Set a new configuration with rules that contain new attributes for a duplicate check. For example, for Organization BP, include fields from table BUT000-NAME_ORG1, BUT000-NAME_ORG2, ADRC-COUNTRY, or for Person BP include: BUT000-NAME_FIRST, BUT000-NAME_LAST, ADRC-COUNTRY.

For Creating new configuration, Refer below steps:

1. To create a new configuration:

• Go to Configuration activity 100274 and add a configuration.
• In the General Information section, set the Usage as “Duplicate Check” to make this configuration available for Manage Business Partner, Manage Customer, and Manage Supplier.
• Set the new configuration as “Default”, by selecting the “Duplicate Check Default" check box. This sets the current configuration as the default configuration for duplicate check on all the apps.

     2. Create a new master data record.

• To create a new master data record, enter relative data, and use Check on the app.
• The application sequentially performs a functional check on all the records and highlights errors (if any). If there are no errors, then the application performs a duplicate check using the values of the configured fields that are maintained as part of SSCUI 100274 and lists the potential duplicates in the system.
• Once the duplicate check is complete, the application displays a list of top potential duplicate records that match this record. For the potential duplicates, the application also displays a score that indicates the percentage up to which the duplicates match the current record.

     3. Navigate to the potential records, using the hyperlinks provided for the Business Partner ID. When choosing the Business Partner ID of a potential duplicate, the application lists further details of the record in a new window.
