Symptom
When trying to reschedule a Revenue Recognition Run for a certain recurrence, no option is shown.
Environment
SAP Business ByDesign
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Cost and Revenue cost center.
- Open the Revenue Recognition view.
- Find Revenue Recognition Run ABC that has status Scheduled for a future date and click on View Jobs. It will open the Job Monitor.
- In Scheduled Jobs, click on Reschedule.
- In Schedule, click on Recurrence.
- The only option shown is "None". When selecting it there is only the option to select one date.
It was expected to have the options set for recurrence (Daily, Weekly, Monthly).
(ABC represents the Revenue Recognition Run ID)
Resolution
This is the current system behavior.
Although at this moment there is no recurrence template available for Revenue Recognition Runs, as a workaround it is possible to maintain further scheduled executions of the run as follows:
- Go to the Cost and Revenue cost center.
- Open the Revenue Recognition view.
- Find a Scheduled Run for a future date and click on View Jobs.
- In Scheduled Jobs dropdown, click on Reschedule.
- Click on Recurrence.
- The only option shown is "None". Select it.
- In Start Date/Time, select the date for the next execution to be scheduled.
- Click on Save and Close.
- Back into the Job Monitor, click on Refresh.
- In addition to the previously scheduled execution, now there is the entry in the date selected.
Please note that if the recurrence is scheduled in a Test tenant, the following error message may be encountered: "End Date should not be greater than DD.MM.YYYY HH:MM:SS."
As per system design, when rescheduling Runs in a Test tenant, the application process includes a check that limits the duration for recurring Data Runs. This limitation is not present in Production tenants and a run can be scheduled for future dates without restrictions.
