3613285 - How to Re-Create Output XML Settings for an Account

Symptom

You are working with document output for an external system, and has maintained a communication arrangement for an Account through the Maintain XML Settings option. Now it is required to re-create the communication arrangement.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Account Management work center.
  2. Enter the Accounts view.
  3. Click on the View All button.
  4. Navigate to the Addresses tab.
  5. Enter the Collaboration sub-tab.
  6. Select a business document (for example, Customer Invoice).
  7. Click on the Maintain XML Settings button.
  8. Complete the communication arrangement data and save it.

Resolution

In order to re-create the communication arrangement, it is required to first delete the existing one. Please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Application and User Management work center.
  2. Enter the Communication Arrangements view.
  3. Search for the communication arrangement created for the account. Generally the communication scenario name will be "Output of XYZ" (where XYZ represents the business document).
  4. Select the communication arrangement.
  5. Click on the Delete button.

This will delete the communication arrangement. Now it is possible to re-create it through the Maintain XML Settings button inside the account.
