There is a requirement to add or extend custom fields in a Custom CDS View

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

To extend a Custom CDS View with custom fields, follow the steps below:

1. Open the Custom Fields app.
2. Create a custom field using the relevant business context.
3. The relevant business catalog can be identified using the following link: CDS Views | SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition | SAP Business Accelerator Hub 
4. Navigate to the User Interfaces tab.
5. Enable the custom field in the corresponding CDS View. (For example, C_SALESORDERQUERY)
6. Publish the custom field.
7. Use the Custom CDS Views app to extend a Custom CDS View with with the same data source as the CDS View enabled in Custom Fields app. (for example Custom CDS View created with data source I_SalesOrderCube, because it's the data source of C_SALESORDERQUERY)
8. The custom field can be found under the Element tab in the Custom CDS Views app.
