3613972 - Document Generation fails to render dynamic picture post release – 1H 2025

Dynamic Picture Load Issue Post 1H 2025 Due to URL Rule Configuration.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Document Generation

1. Navigate to Manage Document Generation.
2. Create a new template.
3. Drag and drop the image to the 'Template Content' box.
4. Select Insert/Edit Image.
5. Copy the image URL.
6. Now configure it via rule to generate dynamic picture.
7. Once done try to generate a document.
8. Observe the document is blank/URL. 

Instructions for Inserting and Configuring an Image in Document Templates:

1. Insert Image into Document Template:
   • Drop the image into the document generation template.
   • Select the image and click the additional options (three dots) menu.
   • From the menu, choose Insert/Edit Image.
   • Copy the Source/data URL (e.g., data:image/jpeg;base64,XXXXXXXXX)that is generated when an image is dropped..
   • Save the template.
2. Insert the Image Placeholder in Next Template:
   • Open the next document template where you want to insert the image.
   • Click the additional options (three dots) menu again.
   • Select Insert/Edit Image.
   • Type the placeholder, ex. [[IMG]].
   • Save the template.
3. Configure the Business Rule:
   • Go to the Business Rule Configuration section.
   • Use the copied Source URL to configure the rule.
   • Save the business rule.
4. Assign Rule to Placeholder:
   • Navigate to Manage Document Template Mapping.
   • Assign the business rule to the corresponding placeholder[[IMG]] in the template.

Note: Currently it's not possible to make the URL generated shorter/different.
