3613998 - Authorization error when creating milestone in "Project Briefs" app

Error message "You're not authorized to create or update milestone under WBS XXXX" appears while creating a milestone in the 'Project Briefs' app.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Create an enterprise project in "Project Control - Enterprise Projects" app.
2. Assign user A as Project Manager or Financial Controller in the project.
3. Log on by user A with role SAP BR_PROJECTMANAGER assigned.
4. Open the "Project Briefs" app.
5. Attempt to create a milestone under WBS XXXX.
6. Observe the error message "You're not authorized to create or update milestone under WBS XXXX".

As our design, the project manager or financial controller of a project can plan milestones. However, there is currently an authorization error, which is a known issue that our development team is addressing. The fix is scheduled to be delivered to your system over the weekend of June 21 by CFD 2502.4.

In the meantime, you can use the following workaround:

1. Open the "Maintain business roles" app and assign the role 'SAP_BR_PROJ_FIN_CONTROLLER' to your user.
2. Alternatively, you can open the "Maintain business roles" app and add the business catalog 'SAP_PS_BC_PROJ_CONTRL_MC' to the role assigned.
