Symptom
Error when creating a new Journal Entry Voucher:
- Project task XYZ not found
(XYZ means the Project Task ID)

Reproducing the Issue
- Go to General Ledger Work Center > Journal Entry Voucher view
- Click New > Journal Entry Voucher
- Enter the required information
- Click Simulate
- Error: Project task XYZ not found
(XYZ means the Project Task ID)
Cause
A possible cause of the error is that the start date of the Project Task is earlier than the valid from date of the assigned Cost Center.
To check the start date of the Project Task:
- Go to Project Management Work Center > Projects view
- Search for the affected Project and open it
- Click View All
- Navigate to Project Plan tab > Gantt Chart sub-tab
- Select the affected Project Task
- Navigate to Scheduling tab
- Under Actual Dates, you can find the Start/Finish Date
- Navigate to Accounting tab
- Here, you can find the Responsible Unit. Double-click under the Responsible unit ID
- Under Org Unit overview, you can find the Valid from date.
- The start date of the Project task is earlier than the valid from date of the Org Unit.
Resolution
Change the start date of project task XYZ to a date after the cost center start date.
- Go to Project Management Work Center > Projects view
- Search for the affected Project and open it
- Click View All
- Navigate to Project Plan tab > Gantt Chart sub-tab
- Select the affected Project Task
- Navigate to Scheduling tab
- Under Actual Dates, you can find the Start/Finish Date
- Change the start date of project task XYZ to a date after the cost center start date.
- Click Save
