3614494 - "OpenID provider cannot process the request because the configuration is incorrect" error when accessing SuccessFactors

Symptom

  • When accessing a SuccessFactors instance integrated with an SAP Cloud Identity tenant, the following error appears:
    OpenID provider cannot process the request because the configuration is incorrect. Please contact your system administrator.
  • In the Troubleshooting Logs, the following errors can be seen:
    • Signed JWT rejected: Another algorithm expected, or no matching key(s) found.
    • Identity provider response could not be handled. Caused by: The authentication process did not set an authenticated principal in the current thread.
