3615000 - Resolving Provisioning Report Failures Due to Duplicate Emails

Symptom

During the execution of a provisioning report within SAP IAG, an error message may appear indicating:

  • Failed to create entity. HTTP operation failed invoking https://IAS_DOMAIN.accounts.ondemand.com/scim/Users with statusCode: 409 and response: {\"schemas\":[\"urn:ietf:params:scim:api:messages:2.0:Error\"],\"status\":\"409\",\"detail\":\"A user with the same primary email already exists!\",\"scimType\":\"uniqueness\"}","status":409}

This issue typically arises when there are duplicate user entries in the Identity Authentication Service (IAS), all linked to the same email address.

Furthermore, the problem may occur if a user profile is classified as either 'Inactive' or 'New' instead of 'Active', which is necessary for successful provisioning.
