Symptom
Despite selecting 'Include Inactive Records = No' in both 'Manage Document Generation Template' and 'Manage Data', inactive records are still displayed.
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Document Generation
Reproducing the Issue
1. Navigate to Manage Document Template or Manage Data.
2. Select the option "Include Inactive records=No" in the Document Generation tool.
3. Search with inactive template Test. Observe that both active and inactive records are displayed.
Resolution
- The value set in the field "Status" that is seen in the Manage Document Template page is considered to determine whether the template will be applicable for generation or not.
- If the visibility of the template in Manage Document Template page has to be influenced, then the field highlighted in the screen shot has to be made editable and right status has to be maintained for it to work based on the "Include Inactive records Yes/No". Please follow the steps below.
- In Configure Object Definition > Document Generation Template > mdfSystemStatus > click on details> Visibility > Editable.
- Once changes done in Object Definition. Navigate to Manage Configuration UI > Document Generation Template > Status > Edit > Value Type Resolve > status(mdfSystemStatus) and save.
