Symptom

  • Executing a single PreparedStatement with batched parameters repeatedly may cause increased memory usage in the procedure cache.
  • This memory growth makes other procedures' plans cache out from the procedure cache and potentially results in a 701 error.

Error 701
Error occurred while executing batch statement: There is not enough procedure cache to run this procedure, trigger, or SQL batch. Retry later, or ask your SA to reconfigure ASE with more procedure cache.
