Symptom
- In the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition TEST system, the configuration for allowed email receiver domains is not functioning as expected.
- Despite entering various permutations of the domain name, emails are only successfully sent when the full email address is entered into the configuration setting.
- The SAP Configuration guide indicates that only the domain name should be needed.
- Error message: SOM_EMAIL_BC002

Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to 'Implementation Activities' > SAP.. > General Settings > Extensibility > Output Management > 'Define Allowed Email Receiver Domains'.
- Enter various permutations of the domain name to allow for sending of emails.
- Perform a test in Monitor Email Transmissions.
- Observe that emails are only successfully sent when the full email address is entered into the configuration setting.
Resolution
- Set the sender domain as the specific domain, e.g., company.com .
- Remove all other entries from the configuration.
- Ensure there is one entry in the Allowed Receiver domain as *@company.com .
