Symptom

  • In the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition TEST system, the configuration for allowed email receiver domains is not functioning as expected.
  • Despite entering various permutations of the domain name, emails are only successfully sent when the full email address is entered into the configuration setting.
  • The SAP Configuration guide indicates that only the domain name should be needed.
  • Error message: SOM_EMAIL_BC002

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to 'Implementation Activities' > SAP.. > General Settings > Extensibility > Output Management > 'Define Allowed Email Receiver Domains'.
  2. Enter various permutations of the domain name to allow for sending of emails.
  3. Perform a test in Monitor Email Transmissions.
  4. Observe that emails are only successfully sent when the full email address is entered into the configuration setting.

Resolution

  1. Set the sender domain as the specific domain, e.g., company.com .
  2. Remove all other entries from the configuration.
  3. Ensure there is one entry in the Allowed Receiver domain as *@company.com .
