Symptom

Trying to establish connection between Employee Central Payroll and Datasphere via SAP HANA Smart Data Integration (SDI), by using ABAPAdapter, returns an error in the framework.trc logs:

  • Exception: com.sap.conn.jco.JCoException: (102) JCO_ERROR_COMMUNICATION: Initialization of destination XXXXXXXXXXXXX failed: Connect to SAP gateway failed
