3616626 - HANA_UMML Delivery Unit not being updated to correct version while importing using HALM

Symptom

  • During S/4HANA upgrade, following error occurs in SUM phase PREP_GENCHECKS/HDB_CHK_COMPONENTS:
    The delivery unit HANA_UMML has version 1.10.1 on the database and has to be updated to version 1.12.8.

  • To fix this, you try to import the said HANA_UMML DU directly in HANA via HAML URL (XSEngine)

  • When importing the delivery unit using the SAP HANA Application Lifecycle Management tool (Import a Delivery Unit | SAP Help Portal ), the tenant databases where the import should be performed are not displayed and SUM still complains that version is not updated. 

  • When you log in to HALM. You see you are logging into SYSTEMDB of your database and the import happens in SYSTEMDB instead of affected tenantDB.
