3616642 - Recurring Events Are Not Synchronized in Outlook Add-In - SAP Cloud for Customer

Recurring calendar events (e.g., daily or weekly meetings) are not synchronized between Microsoft Outlook and SAP Cloud for Customer using the Outlook Add-in.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Open Microsoft Outlook.

2. Create a new recurring calendar event (e.g., daily or weekly meeting).

3. Save the recurring event.

4. Ensure that the Outlook Add-in for SAP Cloud for Customer is active and connected.

5. Trigger a manual synchronization using the "Synchronize" option in the add-in, or wait for automatic synchronization.

6. Check the Synchronization Status Log in the Outlook Add-in.

7. Observe that the recurring event is not synchronized.

8. The following message appears in the synchronization log: "CC-032: The synchronization of recurring events is prohibited in your tenant by the administrator."

The "Recurring Calendar Activities sync" option disabled on Server Side Integration settings.

1. Navigate to Administrator work center in SAP Cloud for Customer.

2. Go to E-Mail Integration.

3. Open Groupware Settings.

4. Select the Tenant Settings tab.

5. Search for the setting "Recurring Calendar Activities sync".

6. Locate this setting under the Calendar configuration section.

7. Enable the setting to allow synchronization of recurring events.

8. Save the configuration.

If synchronization still fails after enabling the setting, verify the user’s Outlook calendar for existing recurring activities.
Request that the user delete or convert any recurring events to non-recurring before attempting synchronization again.

SAP Cloud for Customer has visibility limitations on recurring event patterns:

• Daily and weekly patterns: up to 2 months into the future.

• Monthly patterns: up to 6 months into the future.

• Yearly patterns: not supported and will not be synchronized.
